Luminar AI - A New Revolution

September 28, 2022

If you've ever edited a photo before, you're familiar with the process. Adjust white balance here, move this slider there, apply a mask for smoothing here, etc, etc, etc. Doing that over and over again, especially on bigger shoots, can take days. And if you have to pull anything into Photoshop, you can kiss your hours goodbye. Don't get me wrong, Lightroom and Photoshop make editing easier than ever before and I'll likely be using those programs for the foreseeable future. But could it be better?

Luminar AI is a revolutionary tool that, with a few clicks, easily takes your photos and turns them into stunning works of art. But here's the best part, it's not a gimmick. If you've ever tried other apps that offer sky replacement, skin smoothing, or atmosphere effects you might have seen that the options to do so are often lackluster or just don't work the way they say they do. Luminar is different. It has many tools that allow you to hone your image. For example, under their portrait section, you get a myriad of tools and sliders to easily smooth skin, whiten teeth and eyes, add bokeh, and even adjust body shape. One of my all-time favorite tools is Luminar’s Sky replacement. It finds your horizon and suggests different, realistic-looking, skies depending on the picture. It even has options to blur the sky, change its warmth, adjust reflections, and relight the scene. And using their Augmented Sky tool, you can add birds, planets, the moon, and so much more. All of this is from one single program that helps beginners make their photos stand out from their peers and helps professionals push their content way further than ever before.

I encourage you to check out Luminar AI and see what it has to offer you. Click here to check it out and don’t forget to look at our other posts to see all the tools we use to make our editing streamlined and fun to do.
